26 Powers of The Education Board and Postgraduate Research Board
 

Subject to the Statutes and Ordinances the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board shall have the following powers:

1. To regulate, subject to review by an appropriate nominee delegated by the Senate, the teaching and learning in the areas of academic responsibility assigned to the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board and including recommendation of amendment to the TQA manual

The delegated authorities by Senate with the authority to review and approve amendments to the TQA manual are as follows:

1.1 The Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Impact) shall reviw, on behalf of Senate, the TQA amendments approved by the PGR Board.
1.2 The Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) shall review, on behalf of Senate, the TQA amendments approved by the Education Board
1.3 Both the Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Impact) and the Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) shall review, on behalf of Senate, the TQA amendments relating to shared polocies for both taught and PGR students.

2. To approve on behalf of the Senate persons for appointment as Examiners.

3. To recommend to Senate amendments to the  Ordinances and regulations, disciplinary and other procedures for students and to approve amendments to Regulations governing academic programmes dealing with courses of study for Degrees and other distinctions and on any questions relating to the work of the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board. 

4. To make recommendations to Senate for the award of academic programmes (other than Honorary Degrees). 

5. To consider any matters relating to the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board referred to or delegated to it by the Senate and to express opinions on such references or such other matters as seem relevant to it.
