Researcher Development : Making Your Work Open Access in ORE
Description | Theme: Education and Research Category: Education and Research This activity is for all Research Staff. This session will be DELIVERED VIRTUALLY - joining instructions will be provided beforehand.
About this course: Open access to research publications makes them more visible. This can lead to greater impact, higher citations and can stimulate new research opportunities and collaborations. The University's open access policy mandates Exeter Researchers to make in-scope research outputs available in the institutional repository, ORE (Open Research Exeter), via Symplectic. Eligibility for submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) requires that in-scope outputs are made in open access in compliance with REF open access policy. Postgraduate research students are required to deposit a digital copy of their thesis into ORE as a condition of award. This virtual session will focus on using Symplectic to manage publications and deposit them in the institutional repository ORE.
